§ John 1:1-4: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men.

§ Matthew 8:1-3: When he came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.

· Pharisee's religion… Make way leper coming – Jesus love is willing to let the man kneel right at His feet

· Pharisee's religion… Don't touch the unclean – Jesus in his love is willing to reach out and meet you at your need

· Impart

· Impart Righteousness

§ Imputed righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus credited to the Christian, enabling the Christian to be justified;

· 2 Corinthians 5:21: God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

§ Imparted righteousness is what God does in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit after justification, working in the Christian to enable and empower the process of sanctification

· 2 Peter 1:3-4: His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

· Impart Freedom

§ Mark 5:15: When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
